Our History:
Scale Magic is a collective of 3 experienced modellers who between them have
amassed over 120 years within the hobby, together with over 18 years, combined in the retail hobby industry, who saw
a need to provide resin components and or conversions to the hobby.
Known originaly as GRW Propducts, which was a collective of the
founders intials, a name change to Shadoworks about 12 months later was formulated when
2 of the senior founders became involved in model repairs and assignment work for a Transport Company, the Defence
Force Recruiting, other Defence Force Depatments and various Exservicemen Groups.
In 2003 the senior founder was sourght after by the Royal Australian Air Force, Officer Training School at RAAF Base
Williams, with the aim of building various models 'Significant to the History of the Royal Australian Air Force' as Training
Aides for the School, [the name Scale Magic was then chosen as the change
of name]
As the original idea was to produce a range of products, that are high in detail as a suppliment to enhancing a model
kit, a vision of it's creative founders that has become known as a producer of model accessories
Scale Magic are modellers, contracted to various Companies, Organizations and Groups, who are sourght
after by a large cliental of modellers, non-modellers and collectors, nationaly and internationaly.
Scale Magic has expanded in the modelling world, apart from it's resin
components catalogue and other aftermarket products, resulted in our own
Model Forum, the management of the 60th Aniversary of the PTO, [now completed], on a known forum site. Model reviews and
Build up articles for local and international Modelling Magazines, assistance with model kit manufacturers in production of
model subjects and decal options within their existing kits.
All members of Scale Magic are from diferent [Melbourne metropolitian based], Model Clubs and can always be
found at Model Exhibitions or Swap Meets.
